I posted a question a long time ago if I should have left my 78' RHD Fairlady 280Z green or paint it Gold. The majority said leave it gold when they saw the pix. But i had my heart set on the Le Mans Sunset. 350Z gold. I think it looks good.

under the hood is a factory L28E. 2.8 single overhead. I just did a head job and took off 8 thousanths from the bottom for higher compresion and an HKS Super Mega Flow intake. I have the factory one but i dont like it.

looks like the car is a 79, you just going by production date? the engines are pretty much the same but if you ever look at aftermarket suspension you'll need to shop for 79 parts

the "turbo twins" did the same thing on national television refering to a "73" 260Z, the whole z comunity imediately discredited them

As far as i know it is considered a 78' I was told the "ZX" bosy style was put in to production as a 78 of course they call it a "Fairlady 280Z" right above my shifter. If i do mod it Nico will be the first to know and see it.

How much did it cost. I am guessing you imported it so I was wondering how much the car itself cost and the import fee.

Also were did you get it from and which company you used to import it here.

By the way. It looks sweet, I love the color.

This is the kid who you were talking to when you help fix the closet when we moved in. Nick. I live next to your friend with the 240sx and STI. I was on cardomain one day and found your car on it. It looks sweet. Do you drive it around alot or are you just working on it now. Also did you do any thing to your 240sx.

not sure about jap vin numbers but stateside the 78 280z first digits would be "HLS30" and the 79 280ZX would read "HLS130" believe me that car might be a production date of 78 but any parts for it are gonna be referenced from an 79 280ZX, of course the engine parts interchange from 70-83

Where is everyone getting all these older RHD Z's?

There's another guy in the MD area with two of them, he's trying to sell one on NICO right now.

How'd you get yours? How'd he get his? How can I get mine?:-D

EDIT: Ok, actually read the damn thread, lol. Too bad I don't know any Marines with Z's sitting around....
