My factory security system doesnt like me

i recently purchased a 91 q and it didnt come with a keyless remote but i have the original titanium key.... anyways i went to unlock it like normal one day and my alarm went off when i opened the door i thought it would still start no prblem but it wont let me start the q at all i bought a new batt thats not the problem it feels like its in gear and needs to be in park but i got under it and checked out the linkage and it seems ok put it in newie nothin i really think this is a security issue how can i reset this system i also tried disconnecting the batt for 24 hrs no luck so its parked every thing else works besides that it always smells like fuel every time i fill up but i can live with that i just want my car back someone plz help!!!!!!

Try unlocking and locking the doors a few times, that usually fixes it...

try tightning the fuel rail hoses, but if youve got the time and money replace all the under plenum hoses. wes will hook you up with the part numbers from joe.

btw the fuel rail hoses are located in the back and front of the plenum connecting at the fuel rails.
