where should i begin?.......lets just say that philadelphia streets are not the best streets in the world...........Especially when they're under construction.last night coming back home, i avoided a mini sewer thingy popping out of the ground because the blacktop of the road was all torn up from construction. Well shortly after my evasive manuevers, all i heard was ...without the smiley face. and shortly after that, major exhaust leakage. Well i stopped at my friend's house and found my Hi-power HKS exhaust muffler straight up into my rear bumper of my 97 kouki . Well at work today, i put my car in the air and found that the flange from the cat connected to the flange of the resonater was like split apart, but still bolted together (those are some strong *** bolts). And i also found that my hks exhaust is trashed. Anyways, plan is as followed......get new hks hi-powered exaust 2.5inget new resonater???? can i get aftermarket? is there a replacement part?get some kind of new cat probably "hi flow" because im poor.and then some........dim sum....j/k prolly some headers.

right now im raiding ebay....im wondering what should i look for? should they all be 2.5 in? because im defenitely getting the hks again. and also i see all these hi flow cats that say for 240sx 89-98....i have the feeling they're lying..

theres this combo of headers and cat for 100 bux and 2.5http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1any suggestions?i dont think that my cat looks like any of those tho cuz its like a cat then it has a pipe coming out of it.

i wouldn't get those. if you notice the headers have a 3 bolt flange while the cat has 2 bolts. that pipe that come off your stock cat has the 3 bolt flange built in. if you get that ebay setup you will need a flex pipe that has a 2 bolt and a 3 bolt flange on it. plus be careful about some of those cats. some of them say they are high flow cats but they are really just test pipes which have none of the internals of a real cat. if you have emissions you will definitely not pass.

by the way, i also have the HKS HiPower and i like them a lot. they sound really nice. i'm planning on getting race header for mine without the cat. good thing i register in FL. no emissions.

Hey dude I have some s14 headers and whatch those ebay bastards, they just happen to be the reason why I have a spare s14 header. What you were looking at is good but they didn't tell you your not getting the downpipe. I have an s13 and they sold me those 4-1 headers and downpipe which fit exept for the sensors. I just replaced mine and can sell you the headers and downpipe for 140, they are megan racing and are very good stainless steel, I tried putting a coat on them but when one of our sensor pluggs wasn't tight enough the exhuast was spewing little flames and it ruined the paint. All in all I am going to clean it up and it is a good strong header with higher rpm power. I also live in atlantic city so you can pick it up if you want. I also can paint it agian in what ever color you like and its supposed to make the engine bay cooler = a little more hp.

thanks for the advice fellas but ive made my decision. i have purchased the hks hi-power exhaust again, ill prolly jus buy a new resonator and try to fix the cat's flange, apply some heat here and there and it will be all gravy. i have no need to worry about emissions, i can pass any car i want......hehehe
