Well guys i just got back from the track. It was a very eventuful night. We all made it home ok, which is the amazing part. Pretty mcuh the day started off with me and some of my friends going to the track. But it was hot today, and most of my friends have turbo cars, and new it was gonna be a crappy day at the track, but hey who cars. Well we get there, and my first run ever with the sr20det on a actual track is r/t .63960 2.31330 6.0951/8 9.155mph 81.191000 11.7621/4 13.918Mph 101.97well crap now i gota rent a helmet. I guess thats a good thing though at least. I get started again run a bunch more times and average right around 13.9-14.1. I guess i can deal with these times. My buddy who went with in his wrx had a horrible day. His best time today was a 14.4 and last week at a different track he ran a 13.6. Same exact setup. He spent most of the night saying "I dont want to talk about it." He kept incuriging me that my car would be quicker then a 13.9, and i know it is. Here are some more time slips. This would of been my best run BUT my hot pipe blew off about 3/4 the way down.rt .59960 2.01330 5.7621/8 8.7mph 80.71000 11.4991/4 13.963mph 86.17I was so pissed. that should of been a mid 13 second pass easy, but my hot pipe blew off car rpms, began to fall. and i was slowing down before the finish line. The best run of the night ended up beingrt .6360 2.108330 5.9791/8 9.039mph 82.161000 11.6491/4 13.817mph 103.12

All together i got about 12 runs in, with the 14.1 being the worst. I am still very happy with the sr, hopefully i will break mid 13's on this setup. One of my next purcahses will definatly be a studder box/rev limiter, so my launches are more accurate, and building boost off the line would be a great thing. The worst part of the night, was our buddy with a swapped h22 prelude parked the car, got some food, let it cool down. The car wont start.. Ummm it cranked, but he had no spark at all. We think maybed the ignitor chip went bad on the distrib? or possibly some of his mds wires got screwed up. Well after waiting 3 hours for a tow truck were on our way home. Well 2 vipers, and a c5 corvette go flying by. my buddies in a wrx say go get em, because the tow truck is following them home, so i go have some fun. Vipers are quick, i had no expectations of beating them, and these weren't stock vipers. They turned out to be pretty cool, and the passanger in the one viper took some pics of my car. well now im doing about 110 going home, and i see my hood ripple from all the air that just hit it because my hot pipe blew off again.. Im pissed now, so i pull over, screw the hose clamp on as tight as possible without breaking it, other wise id be really screwed. get it put back together, change the profec b to low boost, and im gonna chill for the night. So as were going through a manual toll both the gate comes down on my buddies 02 wrx. Man was he pissed, scratched his window, and a scuff on the car. So now hes waiting for a state trooper to come fill out a accident report. It didn't take as long as we had though, but it still sucked. well finally at about 3 am we dropped off the prelude in front of our buddies house, and all got to go home. I think it will be a while before we venture out to the track again. Sorry for the really long lenght, but now that ive been up so long, i dont feel like going to bed. Peace, good night, Chris

That actually sounded like a lot of fun. Iv'e had similar nights to that. The first time I went to the track I jumped from 14.3 down to 12.7 and the guy told me Id'e better get a helmet so I said, "nooo prooblem", needless to say it got rained out. I could have hit 12.4-12.5 cause I was still tuning my avcr and afc and only at 11 lbs of boost. that was the first time at the track with my sr and all of my friends were like,"HOLY s***." Thats because my first run was a 15.4 I believe, so they didn't think my car was that fast until my third run of 12.7. My friends GST never made it out of the 15s. He was pretty pissed at me because he thought his car was the s***. When he took me for a ride the night before I was like," oh....wow....

Even with all the problems we had it was a blast. The kids car that broke down was his birthday, and in all honesty it days like this that we will remember a long time from now, and look back and laugh. I wish i coulda got some better runs in, but dont we all.

s13 redtop. act clutch, blitz dp, hks exhaust, custom intake, greddy front mount, profec b, safc 2, and some other little things i am probably forgetting. I am on a falken azenis(sp) and have the factory lsd. If you search you can find full list of mods, with my dyno's. I had the profec b set to 14, but it was so hot, it would only hold about 10 pounds yesterday. Normally while im driving on the street it spikes to 14-15 and drops down to 12-13. When i dynoed the car it put down 237 hp at the wheels, and 248 torque.

Hey just wondering what cooling system you are running to be able to withstand the summer heat?

A koyo and electric fans will do the trick. I can now beat the he11 out of my car in dead of summer (it's been 90-95 degrees here in VA) and no problems.

With the stock rad and SMIC I was able to beat on the car also but stock rad and FMIC just didn't work for me (works for some though)

Bp,I think it's funny that we have the exact same HP and TQ numbers. You just have a little more HP up top and I've got a little more TQ down low

I live 5-10 mintutes from glendale hieghts, and aussming you said your going to school, i bet your gonna go to uti. Anyways one of my good friends, the kid with the swapped prelude lives in gh. Shoot me an email when you get out here, and maybe i can show you around a bit. [email protected]As far as my cooling system goes, i have the ka radiator :( with a 14 inch electric fan, and the clutch fan. With some watter wetter added in for good luck. If i beat on my car for long enough it gets hot. I was planning on getting the greddy radiator, but c&r radiators keep looking nicer and nicer to me.

I really like the 60' time of the run that would have been your best bp2000. Man I couldn't get below a 2.2 due to my crappy 195 toyo spectrums. I can't wait to get so azenis and get my 60' down. But even with the 2.2 60' I was able to bust out 13.74 at 103.26. I have a Koyo with electric fans. But you have a 13.5 car easily with those tires. Congrats on the 60' times. BTW get a heavy duty hose clamp for that hotpipe.:D

As far as emissons goes it is possible to pass in il, since they dont do a visual inspection. Turn to boost to stock, cut fuel where you can, and get a good new cat, and you should pass if your motor is in good condition. In all honesty i dont want to deal with it, so i am going to register the car in IL where there are no emissons(at my sisters house). In all honesty for the money i love the tires. They are awsome in handling, and are actually alot better drag tire then i thought theyd be. I dropped the pressure to about 24 in the back, and it was hooking nice. Only words of advice i will give you on the azenis is they suck in the rain. I mean really bad, almost to the point where id ont want to drive the car if its raining(unless im in the mood to go sideways)I got 2 more hoseclamps and doubled it up, but i just realized that the hoses on my hotpipe are not silicon. I think that will help alot, so i am going to buy a silicon hose, and im definatly gonna get some heavy duty hose clamps. I honestly think the car can run a low-mid 13. I plan on going back once it cools down in iL, its been like 90 degress latley. I love it at night though when it drops down to like 60's. aight, well thanks for all the inpurt guys, later. Chris
