Okay i did some search and didnt find all the q's answered

1990 240sx SE (stock) will get a half cut Silvia SR20DET

I plan on doing the swap with a mechanics help (tools and engine hoist) I know this is not easy for a first timer but someone have to learn somehow and thhis willl be my ccar. I will know how tight i turned the screw (smile) or did i put it in (grin). So pls bare with the old questions and i hope to get more help from people online here - Thanks in advance.

ok, Questions

1. Which component should i not use from the 1/2 cut (currently i do not plan on using - dash (righthand) and instruments - it willl be available for sale) And ill look if its better condition than my stock 240

2. Do i swap out the wiring harness ? I know i will need the new ECU and is there any special rewiring ?

3. Does the 1/2 cut come with hubs that are 4 or 5 lugs ??? and if its 5 will my 300zx wheels fit on it ?

4. Brakes - will my 300zx caliper fit on it and do i need new disc (300zx disc)

5. Radiator - should i swap it ?

6. Manual for the sr20det - where can i get one

7. Water pump - where to get one ?

8. What gas should i use after install 87 or 93

9.

1) You don't necessarily need a half cut, especially if you aren't going to be using the RHD, you'd be better off shipping and price wise to find a complete motor.

2) Yes, you need everything and there is rewiring.

3) No, half cut's do not come with hubs, and if they do, they only come with the front ones which doesn't do you much good.

4) Yes, there is more than just the calipers that need to be switched, do a search, there are lots of discussions about this, and everything else you've asked. : )

5) If you'd like, it makes fitting the hoses easier.

6) You pretty much can't, you really only need a bellhousing, the KA transmission will mate to the SR bellhousing, however, its extremely difficult to find a bellhousing.

7) A number of different places have them, Phase 2, Heavy Throttle, and myself come to mind.

8) 93, never use anything lower than 92.

My 1/2 cut came with LSD, fuelpump and rear drive shafts (im not sure about the rear hubs). If it came with hubs is it 5 lugs ?

When i mentioned manual i mean (manual) book - service manual

How hard is the rewiring, can you help me with that.

Im new to this so pls be patient

Yo are right i do not need the 1/2 cut it so happens i can get it locally the 1/2 cut and i thought if i took it apart i will know what and how to put it back on the 240.
