Well i tried to make the journey from nashville to cincinnati and ran into problems. my turbo go so hot that it melted the brake resivor so i had to get towed the rest of the way home. now my problem after i fixed the brakes is that my engine sounds like a boxer engine, like a wrx...anyone know why in the hell it would sound like that?

im runnin an untuned power fc, stock injectors, gt35r, tial wg at 5lbs....this was all done at crusing speeds to get the best gas mileage.

im not sure if this would cause it but the o2 sensor wires are pretty fried, i tried to splice them back together but i still get the same tone in the engine, would this cause it to run like the wrx sounding engine?

thanks guys

Zak

hey, just wanted to update you guys and let everyone know in case this happens to them down the road. Anyways, Krayton was semi correct. i actually had water around the 5th spark plug and i guess the water was causing spark issues. i found it by letting the car run and individually disconnecting each coil.

thanks

What is the best method to prevent melting the reservoir, heat shielding on the reservoir itself ?

id say a heat shield for the reservoir and for the turbo. i have exhaust wrap too and that helps. also, tuning in my case would help
