Has anyone used Techno Square for computer upgrades? Supposedly, Techno Square remaps ECMs for Maximas, G35s, 350Zs, and whatever else has a VQ motor. My 5.5 gen runs lean because of the intake and headers. However, I feel a little weird about mailing Techno Square my computer and five hundred bucks. What do you guys think?

Non engineers are notorous suckers when it comes to aftermarket mods believing everything stated is true. Trusting dyno charts and the Inet.

Factory always inserts a little safety reserve in programming for wear and tear and aging/bad gasoline, etc......you can always delete this safety and get a few more HP usually nothing bad happens when the engine is young.

In the early 90's it was common to leave 10-15% safety now with OBD2 less than half that is needed.

Factory uses excess rich to cool pistons and cats............unlikely that any intake or exhaust mod will change air flow enough to get to unsafe lean unless you have an air leak after MAF

Do you have your run file?

E-mail me at [email protected] and I'll send them to you. What I've got was all they gave me at the time of dyno. Are they considered runfiles? Folks on maxima.org argue my high-flow cat may cause a false lean reading when using a tail-sniffer type dyno. I also have stillen headers. I've also been told they are restrictive headers as far as they're shape. I should have used cattman or hotshot. Let me know if you know anyone who wants to buy Stillen headers and y-pipe at a great price. Anyway, I can send them to you as soon as I get your e-mail.

I got your run files. And i suggest getting a SafcII and a Wideband. NO need for a techno ecu. And if you get teh safcII you can adjust your tune anytime you want . SO there would be no need for a reflash if you upgrade again.

The safcII adjusts A/f ratios only. What about the other features from a TS reflash, i.e. rev limiter mod, speed limiter removal, timing advance at WOT, etc. What is a wideband? Is it part of the safcII?

No the wideband just monitors A/F and make sure you arent going lean. And you are correct the safc only adjusts fuel not timing . Nor can you remove the speed limiter or raise the rev limit.

Ts is deff a option if you dont plan to do more mods. but if you add more mods and need to adjust your a/f even with the ts you will either need a safc or a reflash

So it is safe to say that later mods will only change a/f ratio and safcII will fix that.
