$70 into the welding and flange and about $60 to ceramic coating and anyone can do it. Cheap alternative of a clean external wastegated manifold.

cool that you got it for 70. i was trying to, but most the shops didnt know what they were doing. and the few that could work good with the cast (actually few means 1) were backed up

edit: you break any studs? i went through 4. sucks cause the engine is still in the car. if the engine was out, i would even care

What kind of injectors are those? Also did your studs come with 12 point nuts? Did you have to remove the cams to installed the nuts?

Is that a wastegate flange welded onto a stock manifold?

I have only broken one exhuast manifold stud.

The injectors are actually WRX injectors that are modified to flow 800cc at 50psi.

For the nuts on the head studs, I will have to check and see if they are the 12 points.

And yes it is a stock manifold with a 38mm flange welded on the top of it and then I ceramic coated the manifold.

Where are you going to shave down? the manifold or the turbo housing? That looks like the SC61 mad props to you tho how much was all the machine work? and did you get a N1 oil pump?

Thanks for the comment guys. For the turbo, it does barely touch, but I will not be shaving anything down. I will probably just run a 3/8 or smaller spacer to pull it out just a little.

Couple of questions!

Did you stick with the 9:1 compression? How much power are the rb26 rods good for? I'm looking for around 650hp from a gt40r. Should I look at some Pauter rods or would I be ok with the shot peened rb26 ones? Also, I don't mean to be nosey, but what are your plans for intake manifold and cams. I am having trouble finding out what people recommend for high hp builds. I know the RIPS manifold is supposed to be the ****, but is the GREDDY really that bad?

Sorry to ask all the questions in your thread, but this seems to be a good motor building/technology thread. If you want me to start a new one, that's cool.

Actually I ended up getting 9.15 compression ratio...after I had them resurface the head and block.

RB26 rods have been taken to 800+hp many times.

For the intake manifold/plenum I am either going to be running the Greddy or will be making a custom Intake plenum. The stock runners are great for the torque, but the stock upper pleunum looks like complete crap and want to face the throttle body position to the front. There is nothing wrong with the greddy intake manifold, it flows pretty decently and looks great. The RIPS is a awesome manifold, but is to high in price for me. A custom manifold would not be that heard to accomplish and would flow pretty well if made correctly.

Not to steal the thread or anything but I just read on JGY they have greddy intake manifold for the RB20. They dont make a front facing plenum for the RB20 or do that cause if so I want one?

Miss info on that page. If greddy made one for the RB20 I would have gotten it.
