My engine came in last night

It's the built CA that Nomore_MR2 was selling, now I'm just waiting for a few more parts and it should be in the car and running within a month (an optimistic wish)

Oh, and some of the info on it is wrong...but thats because my friend is putting all the pictures up for me and maintaining the cardomain page

My engine also just arrived. It has a few more miles on it than i would like (86k) and yes i converted it to miles from the 140k km on it. And for some reason someone had all the coil packs unbolted and just kind of sitting there. Someone also ganked one of the pipes running to my turbo. Oh well, my nismo motor mounts will be here early next week and hopefully by the end of next week everything will be ready to go.

Awesome, yeah I have NO clue how many miles this motor has on it, but its been rebuilt so I dont much care...it all looks great

I'm going to try to make it for a short while on stock motor mounts...if they bite it it's not a big deal though and I'll get some new ones

nathan that motor has more then three owners!!! it went from FL to Ohio, to MN, then to yuo!!! if you want ill hook you up with my friends email who actually owned it up here in ohio, he had the headgasket blow up on him and he sold it to brian! so he knows alot about the motor and what not!!!

we are all a big wierd familly of 240sx owners arnt we!! my car used to house that motor ... my turbo was also on that motor and my FMIC was used on that motor!!!! i nver got to see it though !!

hahahaha, i think I've seen a picture of your car with my motor...and yeah I know the history on it is wrong, my friend wrote it and I havent gotten around to correcting it

but it might be a good excuse to stop working on my english paper for a few minutes...My motor has as interesting a history as my car

but the motor seems to be in really good shape, I cant wait to get it up and running and see how everything checks out. And yeah, I'd love to have your friends e-mail, thanks Jon!

everything to fire it up should be here by May 15th!!! But then I need a bunch of other small crap after that

O well ehhe at least you got the motor now and you can soon start on getting it all in.Ill come up there after my swap is done.Which should be by the end of this month.Well be 2 out of 3 CA's in Texas lol.

The other one is also in Austin.Drumma sold his old manifold to him.But you wont ever meet this guy he blew his motor hah hes kinda bad with taking care of motors.And dont feel bad everyone here in Austin is SR and theres one RB being put in but thatll be awhile.

Thats like in Dallas Chris Jex with the 450whp SR was mean as hell when I asked him about CA's and dogged on them pretty bad.He owns a shop called En Tuning.But hopefully he learned more about the CA lol.

So now I guess its more like 2 outta 2 CA's in texas lmao.

you guys are forgetting about me! in 1-2 months ill be prowling houston with my ca. im still waiting on it from flashoptions. i HOPE it comes. i got my wastegate today(HKS) and hopefully brain will be sending my manifold shortly. and btw, instead of starting a new thread, you guys think a hks gt3037 will be alright? how do you think it will spool with big cams?

I think it should be more than enough

It should get you easily into the 300's on hp

I would like some nice cams probably 264 for mine but it'll have to wait a while. I would expect that you would get full boost on that 3037 by around 4500, what does everyone else think? Keep us updated on your motor! whats the status on it now?

well, it was supposedly shipped almost a month ago. the last time i emailed them they said its on its way. hopefully it will be in cali in a week to 2 weeks.

thats a damn long shipping time...but I guess if its coming over on a ship that makes sense, malaysia to cali should be about 2-3 weeks by container ship if it went straight through, which I doubt it did. I hope you see it soon!

hahahahaha, yeah, I checked today and I am averaging something like 8.5 posts per day, its really ridiculous. I just hate doing any work for my classes so I hang out on here all day, once summer comes it wont be quite so outrageous!
