i thought it was my iacv, so i sprayed some throttle body cleaner into it, and them some down the throttle body. first, after the starting of the engine, it idled okay, then i decided to spray some more down the throttle body. so i turned off the engine, spray alot down the throttle body, and when to start up the car. the rpm shot up to 6k rpm! I looked for the problem, but no luck. i am assuming the tps gave up on me or the iacv is dead. i really don't know what happened. anyone please help me. this is a redtop sr20det by the way. thanks!

lol 6k RPM is not really an idle. So the car started to idle fine then you sprayed more cleaner?

How long did you let the car run at that rpm?

Maybe all the cleaner down the hatch?

i let it ran for about 2 minutes before i started spraying the cleaner the second time. i only sprayed it 2 times. im starting to guess that its the iacv, something might of stuck or kept it open.

check your throttle pulley, ill bet its stuck open. the same thing happened to me, i could have swore that it was closed, but there was a ground cable holding it open
