i email JUN the otherday to ask some question, and remakably they gave me my answers and prices within 24hours.

here ya go------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for your e-mail.

Regrettably we can not insert cylinder liners to SR20DET at this time.

Here is the reference for you.

We are currently trading directly from JUN head office in Japan to the customerin the USA and CANADA. Regrettably we do not have any work garage available inthe united states...so we can not do perfectly support for your tuning project. However we can provide our processing. If you are going to do our processing, itis needed you to send your engine to our company in Japan. We process and returnit to you.

We would like to know your car information.

What is your car name? What is year of manufacture? Is your car Japanese spec or USA spec?

Regarding Horsepower and Torque, it is changed by using turbine, boost, ECU, andetc...What we can recommend you is to find out the person(tuning shop) who can set upyour ECU with your car locally. I think this is best for your car.

Here is the reference for you. This menu is FULL tuning spec.

TOTAL COST is JPY1,435,220yen.The exchange rate for today is USD1.00/JPY117.33 You can get USD amount bydividing the total Yen price with JPY117.33

*It is needed NISSAN stock parts(valve, rocker pivot, rocker spring, rockershaft retainer, tappet shim, and etc.) for RNN14 because the head is changedinto solid system from lash system. We can prepare the NISSAN RNN14 stock parts.

NISSAN RNN14 stock parts cost is JPY63,440yen.

Time takes about 2 month.

Kind regards,

Everyone else did.

Pretty much the same info they give you on their website, lol....

There are tuners/mechanics/shops in the US that can provide pretty similar services/parts. Obviously not "jun" mechanics.

If your looking to build a 8-9 second sr20det, we can point you to the right place, if not, you shouldnt be wasting Jun' mechanics time, lol...

If you want to buy a full race block, head, motor, or custom setup do a search for MTS Tuning Facility

I actually dissmissed juns prices as very expensive till I spoke to someone who is build up a very strong sr 20 and surprise surprise it worked out comparable these crate motors are a pretty good package and have guarrateed results they are also alot different to throwing a set of forgies in as described below .personally if I had the desire and money for an sr build up I would also consider Tomei cheersmeggala

he said $18,000 canadian... whats that $5000US? (jk)

hmm I just realized thats a pretty damn good deal, for a moter guaranteed to put out 600hp for lots of circuit racing, or 800+ for drag...

add in another 6000 for a nice turbo setup/mngment of course..

I dont really know what he is talking about for that price...the JUN crate motor is over 18,000 US.

If a fully built crate sr20det from jun was 5k, everyone would have one..lol..maybe for the labor, its 5k.

http://www.signalauto.com They have a branch here in the states. They should be able to satisfy your tuner needs.

From what I've heard their US branch isn't as competant as their Japanese branch. Although I'm sure they do quality work, I've heard of them doing some really half *** work. And it was on basic work. Things like installing a trans and forgetting to put fluid back in...this is just something I was told. But I could be wrong, better talk to people who have had work done by them.

The JUN racing stroker crate engine (the 2.2 liter one) is well over $50K......

maybe not just the motor itself but if you get it and everything else that comes with the kit (T-88 turbo, holinger transmission, triple plate clutch, 900cc injectors (i think), big *** intercooler, oversized throttle body, electronics, EVERYTHING) it is over $100k in australian dollars so you get the conversions yourself.
