I have a series 2 Rb25det. My ecu is #23710 21U01. I read somewhere in search that if the ecu has a little whole with adjustable screw to check for codes than it is a Series 1 ecu. My ecu has this. My car starts fine, just doesn't rev past 3k rpm. Could I have the wrong ECU?

23710-21U00 is a manuel trans rb25det, I would guess that yours is too.

Why did you swap ecu's instead of maf's?

My ECU is 23710-21U11

Its got the screw for codes, with no lightbulb in the thing, so i think ill wire up my check engine light, but aside from that.... Does anyone know if this belongs to a skyline or.... something else, becuase someone posted the R33 ecu numbers and that isnt one of them.

I didn't swap ecu's. I did try and swap to a Z32 and SAFC2, still didn't rev out past 3k rpm. But it's all good now, my buddy figured out the problem, which he did the whole time. Apparently there are two connectors that plug into the stock RB MAF. He extended the wires on the wrong connector, so the whole time we're freaking out over bad maf or bad ecu, and swearing the wiring was straight, he ****ing wired the wrong connector. Now if Takara Motors would just send me my replacement bushing for the mount kit, becuase one of them ripped on installation, I could drive this sucker. I sent them the bad one over 2 weeks ago, and they've yet to say they've shipped it, or even answered my emails or phone calls . It was covered under warranty, but if i knew it would take this long I'd have been happy to pay for a new one and shipping cost.
