my door does not open!

i bought an s13 shell from a junkyard. the body is straight, but the driver side door plain out does not open.

the door was apparently hit, so it was replaced with a different door. i can figure out why its not opening... can anyone think of any problems that might stop the door from being able to open?

we got it open when it was at the junkyard a couple of times, but now that i have it at my friends shop, it wont open.

If the car is on a rack it may not be opening due to body flex. If its on a rack set it down and try again. If it opens you need to adjust the striker as it probably is binding the door even on the ground and makes it "difficult" to open even then???

If this isnt the problem then its likely a sticking latch in which you would need to manually release the latch either by distroying the inside door panel to gain access to the latch or goe through the top of the door where the glass comes through and try to manipulate the latch with a long pry bar[ this is the method to try first if you want to try and save the inner door panel]
