Hey gang, long time no post ......

I was gonna do my oil change and didnt wanna go borrow a floor jack or buy one for 70 something ...........so I made these. Got the idea from the mustang guys on google. Anyway. Cost me about 20 bucks worth of lumber....... they are 2x8 @ 8' ... I used 4 of them. Each steps are 19'' in length w/ the exception of the top one, got reduced by the 2x4 block. Getting the car on isn't too bad. Be sure to put the hand brakes on, and choke the rear wheels .... 12'' of clearance is plenty. Storing them away just flip on ontop of the other. Best thing is ....... no neeed to jack up the car on one side at a time. So, just in case anyone wanna see how an altima sits on these

very nice and creative... I'd make 2 more pieces to jam the rear tires for protection as well.

How do you change the oil with the wheel still on? How do you get the panel off to access the oil filter with the wheel on. Or is it different on the 3.5 then it is on the 2.5

I use ramps, and I've changed my oil without removing the panel (have a 3.5). I did remove the panel for my last oil change though. It makes it easier to do so, but it is not necessary (panel will flex outwards a little).

I got 2 tire chokes from Harbor Freight, they're a bit small so you dont see them in the pics but they do the job

the 2.5 has its filter under the frame and a panel on the passenger side... might be the same? i don't know.. really sucks to change when you drop it and it ricochet off the frame and all over you!

Nice and creative. It is better than jacking the car up on one side. I usually just bring my car to my buddies garage and put it up on the lift.
