I decided to check my air filter today after washing all the crap off my G after yesterday's snow and ice storm. I couldn't believe how f#*ing filthy it was after only 7 thousand miles on it. Since I've read a number of posts with other members having MAF sensor problems I decided to replace it.It only takes about 10 min.

So...when are you getting a short ram/cold air intake?? I'm telling ya, you'll love it!! The aftermarket intake sound makes the car 100x's better. Get the MREV2 and a spacer for even more music/power! And yes, it WILL increase HP in the mid-rpm range.

There was a video posted on how to do this for those that have never changed their air filter. Here are a few photo's to assist those that wish to give it a try. I purchase my filters at the dealer but I'm sure they can be obtained a little cheaper. I always keep a spare. Also I could not believe how filthy the housing was with bits of leaves and other crap. I doubt if the dealer tech is going to take as much time to clean out the housing as I did.

Don't pieces of leaves give you like 10 more HP?

This is one the reasons I went with the Fujita intake. The 07 has 2 of those exspensive paper filters at $15 each the Fujita pays for itself quickly in Arizona.

Seriously the only mod that I am considering is a built in Alpine Navigation System with IPod access. I have Bluetooth now but there is no caller ID with the Premium Package A. I also have Sirius but the factory Sirius does not scroll channel number, title and artist. When i was at the audio store last week the kid there (remember I'm an old farht) told me the Alpine has those features. However I have read a number of neg reviews that the Bluetooth wasn't so good on the Alpine and the FM Radio did not have RDS? I have to check further on that. Although I don't listen all that much to FM radio since Howard Stern left it, I still want the RDS feature because I can't always remember title and artist of much of the alternative music that I listen to. I switch between that & Doo Wop after Howard Stern ends.Sorry for getting off topic.I really don't need more HP. My G is fast enough for an old farht like me. My commute is 100 miles per day.

Have a great holiday.

Get a K&N lifetime filter. You'll never have to buy again and you might gain a pony or 2.

The mod isn't really about speed...its about the sound. You can do just the popcharger/Z-tube combo for less than $200.

The MREV2 and spacer is a bit more...but equally worth it!!

Have we steered you wrong yet?? GET IT!!!
