My Diamond Racing Wheels are in!

My 15x7 +0's are still being made (2 fronts), but I got my 15x8 +0's (2 rears) in today! These things are beasts, solid steel, silver powder-coat, DOT approved, and really durable. I mean they're made for dirt track racing, of course they're durable lol. I'm planning on putting some 215/60 tires on, my original plan was 195/60s, but the 215's should do nicely. The price? $330 for all 4 new rims shipped to my door, not bad.. (need some too? http://www.diamondracingwheels.com)

Suspension specs if people want them: squishy Eibach pro-kit springs featuring a super low .5 inch drop and Tokico HP blue struts.

For those scared about my fitment don't fret, I'm rolling my fenders soon, but I think things will work out before rolling due to my lack of coilovers.

wow, thanks for posting this up man. these are very interesting... the 16x8 and 16x10 of what you have would be a sick looking setup. except they dont offer the chrome finish in those sizes. i wonder if they would be able to do it special. so how long did it take to have them made and to ship? these are a very ideal wheel for the 240 crowd. lots of 16'' 4x114 sizes which is what just about everyone is after including me. cant wait to see what it will look like with them all mounted on the car. be sure to post pics of when that happpens. i dig em

Well, lemme throw some more information out there. I got the Pro Series model wheel, I originally wanted the Stock Car Lite series, however DRW informed me that they are discontinuing their Stock Car and Stock Car Lite model wheels because the pro series fits bigger brakes and has better vents. The biggest diameter for the Pro series is 15" and the 15x8 weigh in at 20 lbs, I think I'll put them on a scale in a bit to confirm because I told them I needed DOT approved rims which means a thicker rim because they have to be more durable (if you don't tell them this you'll get a temporary rim like race teams use which weighs a bit less but you have to discard after a year or so). 14x7s wouldnt weigh much if your super concerned about weight. Also, I don't have a chrome finish, just silver powder-coat. I'm sure the chrome is alot nicer. Another note, DRW doesn't use metric, our bolt pattern is 4x4.5 and the offset is done using the "backspace" system. The backspace is a size in inches from the rear face of the rim to the mounting spot, so 0 offset for a 8 inch wide rim is 4 inches of backspace. (explained in detail here: http://diamondracingwheels.com/Terms-BS.htm) And all you guys that have really nice rims but are looking for something for to get dirty at the track these are quite practical. On the bad side it takes about a month for your rims to get made, on the good side shipping is uber cheap, like less than $15 a wheel.

oh yeah, 4 inches of backspace on a 8 inch wheel is -12 offset. when you use backspace you measure overall rim width, which for an 8 inch wheel is about 9 inches.

Once you roll the fenders it would look a bit better, but I don't think you can roll them that far out. Anyway for the price you did really good.

Post pics when you paint the rims, I only saw the pic of you taping the rim...

I think they're going to look ill if everything turns out right. I can appreciate how you're changing you're paradigm in regards to 240sx aftermarket wheels. I would have gone with a more conservative offset however. Can't wait to seet them finished.

It's gonna depend on what I can get my hands on. I'm not even sure how far they stick out because I haven't mounted tires on yet and put it on the ground.
