my dented oil pan

Finally had a time to jack up the car and crawl underneath tonight... Realized that the dent was not as deep as I originally thought.

Have been driving for about week like this and didn't get oil light coming on.

Temp. gauage never went up to the top.

No ticking noises yet.

Please let me know how bad this much dent would be... Thanks,

personaly, i would fix it. the oil light is pretty usless. if you hear ticking noises, its likely too late by then.

Hate to revive a dead thread but - Dammmmmnn! I just did an oil change this past weekend and noticed a dent almost that size.. I guess it's time to fix that leaky oil pan. Anyone know how big a ***** it is to remove the oil pan? For some reason, I remember reading that it sucks donkey dizzle...

It's a PITA to put it mildly.. you have to jack up the engine in the mounts to even get to the pan because all the steering crap is in the way.
