This is really the first post I have ever made to show off my ride. It starts out a little rough but ends quite nicely. When I started looking for a 240 I searched all over the country for one. My main thing was that it had to have an sr20 swap already done. Luckily I found a 98 with only 86,000 miles and a clean title in SC. I live in KY, so I had to drive there once to test drive it, and then back again to pick it up. I rented a trailer and made an adventure out of it.

This is how it sat the day I picked it up.

Me strapping it in for the ride

This was the biggest selling point..

Clean interior, and an oddly short short shift

So 6 hours later it makes it home, and then sits in the driveway for a month before I can get it licensed. I had to find seat belts and fix the turn signals before I could get it licensed. Once I got that all took care of the next thing that had to be done was to swap the clutch. Out came the 6-puck unsprung and in went a new ACT street strip.

Fast forward several months to tax time, and lots of goodies.

Slap on some paint, and drum roll please........the finished product!!!!

All JDM bumpers, Zenki sides, Jdm rear extensions, Greddy front lip, and JDM center. 18x8.5 wheels in the front with 235/40 Nitto NT555's, and 18x9.5 with 275/35 Nittos's in the rear. Still lack putting on my r33 ebrake cables on and im golden.

I am very happy to be part of a group of people that are so very passionate about their cars. Hope to meet many of you at the next Nico meet in Lebanon.

Looks good, I liked the original silver though. I would've used that money to get a really good set of coilovers and suspension work. Looks like it could come down some, especially in the back... Black is a b**** color to maintain... but always a pleaser... The wheels, well I know it's personal, but there are nicer wheels out there... Enjoy~

Yes we did paint the door jams. The car was not originally silver, it was green, and the jams were still green. The paint that was on it before was horrible, we spent almost 2 hours with razor blades scraping silver off plastic and rubber all over the car.

I would like to take it down, but the roads where I live are definitely a problem. I already rub my apexi exhaust in some places around town. I know not everyone will be a fan of the wheels, but I had to ball on a budget cause I'm not going to have the money to do this much work for a while. I plan on having the car for awhile and that gives me time to upgrade to some work wheels.

LOL, my wife saw that and said she is going to start calling the car that.

I didn't know that wheel was bent until the day I went to pick it up. That thing about buyers paying more attention to the drivers side of a car is true on my part at least. Uhm, yeah I didn't do that to the bumper. The original picture I got sent had a good bumper on it, then on the way down there to test drive it the guys was like "um, about the bumper". I wasnt turning around though.

HoosierSX, I was starting to wonder if I was the only one who noticed her in the photos. That Kouki will look so much better with her in the passenger seat.

Yeah we did paint it. The finish that was on it would not have lasted for very long.

Lol, that is the wife of the guy that I bought it from. My father in law helped with moving it, I thought he was going to step on his tongue the whole time we were there. I think I have a picture of my wife with her.

Awesome that someone else likes these wheels. I get alot of s*** from people who are big on having jdm only wheels. In the end its all about money.
mrgrape wrote:nice!!! can i ask how much this whole thing costed u?
The wheels were 850 from wheeldude, the tires were 750 from discounttiredirect. I got all the aero from nismoparts.com. All that ran about 1500 after shipping. The greddy lip was around 300 from 240sxmotoring, which I talked to Jeff and he price matched frsport on that. Awesome guy by the way. Also got the clear kouki signals from him for 99. I got the wing from jspec.com for 220, good peeps too. All in all not to bad I thought. It came out like I wanted which is what matters. If anyone has questions about doing the conversion you can always pm me.

I never would have never guessed she was a Palmetto State girl. She looked like a Bluegrass girl to me for sure. I need to obviously adjust my girl radar a bit.

And let me guess, she had a car worth a lot more than her husbands 240sx that you bought, right? Why do us men give in? LOL

Snatch is powerful stuff!
