What part did you mess up and how?You may be able to get a dash kit to cover it up(if it can be covered up)that would be cheeper than getting the parts from the dealer.I checked and the kit was much more expensive on the Altima than the Spec V.I can't remember how much though.Ill look it up,and get back to you.

Are you talking about the plastic cover over the center console? In the middle of the dashboard that runs from the dash to the gear selectors that also covers the radio and heating/cooling controls?

Just claim it broke due to the heat of the sun and have a dealer replace it under warranty.

yea it is the center piece, and it is because of an incident with some gasoline, stripped the paint, long story, so i cant claim warranty, and i just ordered a new one from nissan , $91, so i figured that aint half bad, but while looking for other options, i found a brushed aluminum dash kit on ebay that i am also going to get for $15o or so within a month from now http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...9900, so basically, problem solved, but thanks a lot for your help, o, and also, i posted here because the dash was on my altima, the altimas dash is somewhwat unique, and i knew Bud would know what i was talking about, but thanks REVD

You been posting in no mans land. That's why I moved it in here. If you want it in technical let me know. I fould this thread amongst a few other just floating in the main altima/stanza page and not under any forum at all.

well it seems when i go to 'new topic' to post a new thread, it always puts it in technical , why is this?
