I didnt ask for anything this Christmas because of financial troubles on both my end and my parents, and I actually ended up getting arguably the best presents in my life. My dad had obviously heard my interest in my guitar playing grow yet again, and he went shopping for me. He is, as I told him verbatim, "the ****ing man".

Sorry for the camera phone pics. This was easier than finding and pulling out the digicam.

GigFX Chopper pedal. Its gonna work great with my Korg effects pedal. Left side knobs control the "chopper" effect (like a kill switch toggle) and the right side controls the pan. It will be fun to screw with in stereo.

Two sets of these great Fender cables. They sound great. I noticed a big drop in noise when I switched out the original humbucker in my guitar, and I think these cables finally eliminated ALL audible noise. They come in this fake velvet lined case. Very nice.

And the big one...Fender FM212 DSP amp. Two 12" speakers, 360w peak, 100w RMS into 4 ohms. If you've ever played a Fender amp, you would feel right at home on this. As usual it functions very similarly to all the other amps in the lineup. 2 channels, 16 knobs total (8 on each side). These new fender amps have switches to change the amp type and FX type, which is new to me.

Hope you guys end up as good as I did! I'm definitely happy to have gotten all guitar gear.

F'ing sweet man. I played that exact amp when I was shopping and ended up with the Roland Cube 60. Sometimes I still wish I'da bought the Fender.

I'll probably be spending most of my Christmas money and following paychecks on a high-end Epiphone Masterbuilt electric acoustic.

My dad should buy me a vox AC30 or an ENGL classic.

I've been playing guitar for 5+ years and don't own a proper acoustic. Its a 12 string strung with 6 When someone sees it they're like "Oh damn! A 12 string"

No, but it sounds like it. Setting it to 3 was enough to shake down a few hockey pucks on stands that I have sitting on a shelf about 8 feet away. I have seen an amp that goes to 11, but I cant remember who makes it. Thanks for reminding me to buy Spinal Tap on DVD sometime soon.

Nah, I'm pretty sure there is a company that makes all or most of their amps with an 11 on the volume knob. I'm too lazy to search for it though.

"Does that mean it's louder?""Well, it's one louder, isn't it?"

Thats an awesome present. I just watched your blindfolds aside solo on youtube, it was pretty good. Protest's new cd is amazing. At first I was skeptical, but they really pulled it off. Haha I'm listening to it right now. God i love pth

Thanks buddy! I've got to record another one because I made some mistakes and the timing was off. I'll have to do it again when I'm not in a hurry, I was about to leave to hit the bars when I recorded those videos. I keep saying this, but I SHOULD have more up this coming week.

I'm still on the fence with Fortress. It's definitely not as good as Kezia, but there are some tracks that I like. I'm going to have to listen to it more before I can pass judgment, which is something I didn't have to do with Kezia. Once I popped Kezia in and heard the intro riff to No Stars Over Bethlehem, I knew I was in for something good. Although Bloodmeat is a good song, it didn't have near the same effect on me.

I have that fm212r. Got it when it first came out, like 300 bucks. That little think kicked some of my friends half stacks asses. Not the BEST quality but it was good enough for a fully amplified band. Then it took a sh1t. It wasnt covered under warranty. Im not sure how to fix it.

The R is a bit different. The quality of the FM212 DSP is loads above my previous amp. That sucks about your amp taking a **** man. All the Fenders I have been around have lasted for a long time. Was the warranty expired or was it just not covered by whatever happened to it? We got this one new so I got a 5 year warranty with it so I'm pretty sure if anything happens to it from now until then it will be covered. It sounds great and is working fine so far though.

There was a 5 year warrany, but the list of things it did cover was nearly non-existant compared to the things it didnt cover. They one year warranty list was alot better but it was past a year that I had it. One day I may get it fixed, or ill just get something better.

Do you have any idea about whats wrong with it? It should be assloads easier to work on than a car as long as you know what's broke. And I'm sure you could find replacement parts on the cheap as long as you shop around and DONT go through Fender

lol I just looked at my warranty card. "Fender Musical Instruments Corporation warrants that the Fender product you have purchased shall be free of any defects in parts and workmanship if used under normal operating conditions for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase or initial lease, except that footswitches, covers, speakers, rechargeable batteries, cabinets, handles and cabinet hardware are warranted for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase or initial lease and light bulbs, vacuum tubes, meters, cables, and all other included accessory products are warranted for a period of ninety (90) days from date of purchase or initial lease." So basically the only thing they cover for the full 5 is the board and the wires on it. Typical warranty.
