My dad got a 09 SL 1.8 with CVT. Its solid, quiet and comfortable. Some things we don't know if we should have the dealer put on is the Rust Proofing with the Sound Package. Should we do it? As were in an area with lots of salt in the winter. And another thing I can't figure out is if the windows have any kind of a tint as they look pretty clear but then again they look like they have a tint. I guess I am concered about the Fabric fading inside since the windows look clear.

Hey!Congrats on the Versa!I have a Versa Hatch, and I had mine rust proofed, fabric sprayed, paint protection, and sound shield. It was all done by my dealership. I added on the extended 7 year warranty so it included all 4 of those extra protections. Personally the most important one to me is the rust proofing. However, the sound shield is a nice touch. If your windows were tinted you would be able to tell. If he purchased it brand new from the dealer it is unlikely that the windows came tinted. I tinted mine as I like the look. But it does help keep heat out and I guess it does protect your fabric. I park in the garage at home so my car is shielded quite a bit. Any pics of the Versa? -Ash

I can tell you want it to last a while lol. Its a rip off for the Nissan Floormats the carpet ones cost 80 bucks. I mean instead of spending 80 bucks we went to Menards and got a set of 4 rubber mats for 20 bucks.

Lol, my car came with the floor mats that say "versa" on it. but i did buy clear plastic mats for the winter. if i didn't my carpets would have been all ruined from the salt/snow this winter. i also bought the V with the sport and tech package, i got the whole package, lol, so i'm assuming the mats were included in the cost. they are actually nice, but i have purchased hello kitty ones for the summer. my interior is decorated with hello kitty accessories, i love it:) lol

You sure pampered the heck out of your Versa! I can't imagine you when you're married and have a kid. Are you going to pamper it too with designer brand clothes, nice shoes and signature brand baby bibs? lol That's cool though.

Once my car is paid off, I'm going to get a bigger car, something that is not sub-compact. I need more space and feel roomier. Each day I hop into my V, it feels like it's shrinking.

There's no point to pamper my V, I'm just going to spend the money on more MODs when the warranty expires instead of the nickle and dime myself with dealership stuff.

At least you take care of your vehicle unlike some people I see. Props to you!

Lol, ya my V is like my baby. I love it. It's my first car that is actually mine, I'm paying for it. It is actually alot bigger than the previous car I used to drive. I love it and don't plan on trading it in for quite a while. That is why I paid the extra for the sport/tech package, I really wanted a sunroof, lol.The reason I had all those extras done is because I wanted a longer warranty. 3 years is not a long time for a warranty, especially considering I would still be paying for the car and have no warranty. I added the extra warranty, 7 years so it included all the extra goodies. lol.

As for name brands, if that is what interested me I would have bought some sort of BMW!

I Scotch Guard the fabric of every vehicle I buy. I never pay the dealer for it. Just go to Wal-Mart or a place like it and buy a couple of cans of Scotch Guard and do it yourself. They are about $4 a can. Spray it over anything fabric (ie, seats and carpet). I normally do it at night, I crack the windows and it's ready by the next morning.

On another note, I also do this anytime I move into a new apartment. I Scotch-Guard the carpet. Helps with stains and the security deposit later.

Now this brings a question I have to mind. The dealership said the vehicle allready had a scotchguard substance on the fabric. I have yet to drip some water on the fabric and see if its true or not.

Lol! Thanks!Your car looked great too, our cars are pretty much identical twins. We both even have the front end bug deflector.
