Hmm I dunno, looks like you did a good job and prep, but I I think the lines could use some curve or contour. But it's only my opinion.

Originally the idea was to 'mist fade' from black to red... I still think it would have looked cool BUT a friend said he thought the clean line looked really good... AND I was a bit afraid I would screw up the fade.

So I stuck with clean.

Looks good, unique, I like it. Please tell me you're putting a clear over it though. Making a red like that fade with black wouldn't be too hard if it were a darker red.

Yes I am going to clear coat it.

I temporarily am putting 2 coats on but that's just incase I decide to do the fade. Then it would be a quick and easy sanding job.

I wouldn't need a dark red because the red is the bottom coat. Just a black misting over the red should fade it

+1 for using clear. I'm not saying it would be hard actually FADING it, I'm saying it might not look that good with such a bright red.

IMO, i would have used a slightly darker red.

But it looks great!

After the clear is applied i may change my mind but that red is only going to get brighter.

If that is what you were going for then bad a**!

Perhaps but I've been in the Nissan scene since 2000 now when I bought my first S13 ( and 2 Z32s) and I've seen things I liked and didn't like but the things I've always hated the most is how it always looks the same.

I've done a few projects here now that have gotten flamed bad but hey... "I" am doing them.

I like your coupe i thought you had good taste, but if you think OP's car looks 15 times better than Kaleo's car youre crazy. So....no not kidding.

OP your car does look good though for doing it in your garage yourself, mine still has factory paint in decent condition but ill be repainting this year and just pay someone else to spray after i prep myself. +1 for doing it all yourself.

Thanks I suppose... I just did not expect a response like this from people here.

I thought we were suppose to pride ourselves in doing something different and original. In a time when everything can be had in cookie cutter form from ebay or any other place I figured I'd get much more props.

Oh well... I think once the wheels are on and the windows are tinted it will have a more appealing look. The stock steelies are a big turn off at this time because they don't flush up or anything.

I CERATINLY am not claiming it is the hottest shizz on scene mostly I was needing a paint job and though I'd try something and learn.
