... underneath the driver-side seat and wired to the factory SL trim HU .

$93.94 USD - Boss Audio BASS600 8-Inch Low-Profile Amplified Subwoofer
$12.25 USD - Boss Audio KIT-2
$8.99 USD - 24-Ft. 18-Gauge Speaker Cable with RCA Plug
$3.33 USD - RCA Female to 2-RCA Male Digital Coaxial Splitter Adapter

... And a bunch of mid-wire taps I purchased for $1.49 USD from my local Fry's Electronics store when I did my XM Commander MT install.

See if you can figure out what I'm going to do with the parts above... and the docs ripped from the 2007 FSM...

P.S. EQ settings verifies that "Woofer On" is set on my HU.

Most definitely let us know if that works for all accounts it appears that it should work. would recommend also useing the shield wire connection and braid that into the amp wire inputs to help with RF/EMI noise if you have any.

Ordered the Boss Audio parts today and having them overnighted for a Saturday Delivery tomorrow (Amazon Prime is nice). I'm going to source the rest of the parts locally, including the wiring which I'll braid it going to the amp. The BASS600 dropped to $89.99 for today so it seemed like the perfect time to try it out.

Worse case scenario is if i can't use the OEM subwoofer line-out from the HU, I'll just wire in the high-level inputs. Will keep thread updated once I get started on the project.

Just a quick post while I clean everything up...

... but everything went exactly to plan. The subwoofer line-out is active and is tappable. The Boss Audio BASS600 8" is installed underneath the driver's seat.

I'll post pictures and notes once I finish up. -- It's not a "real" subwoofer but man... it definitely filled in the low-end and now I'm probably not going to replace the six Clarion speakers. And I'm still running stock HU (I *heart* the OE Bluetooth & Handsfree Voice Activiation)...

Took me 7 hours but I'm sure someone who "knows what they're doing" could do it in less than 2 hours. -- I did everything by the book.

Cheers,
Eemrek
