This was found in less than 20 seconds by searching for crank collar:

Compared to yours, I would say yours is fine.

really? awesome man was that from race bread? cuz if not i have that 1 on my favorites at work and its the best write up and pics on crank snout i can send to u.

BUT seeing how it is suppose to be on most or some of rb26 and the causes of oil pump failure, i would say its ok to double check with those that have ALREADY been through it.

thanks for your opinion. anyone else? i jus want piece of mind. i was originally prepared for the worst.

im not actually sure imself it kinda looks like a jun collar except i thought those came with a setscrew? which i didnt c on mine

so if my snout is good which i think it is (but i could be wrong) then is there something i should do with the snout on the wear mark so it works properly with my new oil pump?

thanks guys for any input u might have

just measure the flat spot ... yours looks like it is fine. the problematic snout only measures 7-8mm where as it should be 16-18mm.

I think you got a good one, like I did. If your motor came with the rb26 ecu then you can punch in the number on the back of the ecu into google (i think that is how I did it) and find the sight that shows you what model ecu went in what year model skyline. Most all R33 motors had the crank with the wide collar and some late model R32 motors. I found out via my ecu part number than my motor came out of a late '93-'94 R32 GTR and that is why my crank had the wide collar.

You got a good one?! You lucky bastard! That's what all of them should have looked like from the factory.

i wish i knew a more exact date but i'd say realistic,...couple months hopefully maybe more. it depends on how much i wanna do on "first run"

i really wanted to keep it 100% stock for information purposes since alot of people like myself are curious about #'s, performance, feel etc... on stock rb26 and 2 get on road sooner is a plus

but gettting everything now is much easier and logical ie. turbos injectors engine management on and on

i will def post everything from pics to info and stuff I learned once i get pass started and dressed. i think mine will be pretty unique and helpful
