Okay guys so I have had this 93 coupe for a long time, and I am finally getting the ball rolling on this project. My best friend bought this shell from a guy in South Carolina and had it shipped here last year. It spent all of it's life in Tennessee and South Carolina, so there is no rust anywhere whatsoever. I was going to make this a full show car, but I decided to sell my hatch and make this the new drift car. It just seemed really stupid to put a ton of money into something that I couldn't enjoy.

So with all that said here are my plans.. Currently rebuilding the DOHC KA with all forged internals, cometic head gasket, all ARP hardware, new oil/water pump, timing chain kit and all new gaskets... Of course it will be turbo as well.. I have a perfect RB20 turbo that will be going on as well..The engine is currently all apart with all the brackets/and misc parts painted, ready for the machine shop..

The body, bay, and interior is completely gutted and ready for the body shop.. As soon as I get back from my honeymoon in October it will be at the body shop.. The engine bay is getting painted gloss black, and the body will be hyper white.. I already have a version select body kit that will be put on at the body shop as well...

I'm currently working on getting all the wheel wells, frame rails, and the whole underbody coated with bedliner, and stich welding the engine bay, so all that will be done before it goes to the body shop..Enough with the talk on with pictures and progress... Hope you all like whats in store for next season...

Here is what I got done today.. Cleaned the front passenger side wheel well and started undercoating the passenger side.. I highly recommend using this duplicolor truck bedliner.. It sprays super easy and is a hard coating unlike that rubberized s*** that you see some people using...I am stoked at how well this turned out today.. I just have to get some more liner and continue doing the rest of the underbody and wells...beforeafter

Yeah that is what its called... As for what the gasket is called I do not know... I bought a complete gasket kit for the engine and that gasket came with it.. I will look and see if it has some type of label on it for you...

Okay guys so I just got married and now that everything is done with the wedding stuff I can now focus back on my car! )So I'm still undercoating the car and the only thing left to do is the drivers side wheel well... You know how when you start doing something you end up doing everything.. yeah so that definately happened with this and I ended up doing the entire underneath of the car! It looks super clean and will protect this car from ever rusting..I'm kind of stuck right now on getting the drivers side strut off.. One of the bolts is siezed where the strut bolts on the knuckle.. I'm working on cutting/grinding the bolt, but I might end up swapping the entire knuckle in order to get this f***ing strut off.....

Here on some pics of the current progress... I'm trying to get this coupe into the body shop by the begining of next week:)

so yeah I didn't know my wife was in the garage and she took these pics.. lol

gotta love the rust free cars from south carolina thats the biggest advantage of living here but the biggest disadvantage of living here is that coupes are really hard to find. glad to see one of the SC cars going to a good home and something being done with it. keep the updates coming.

You should wear some safety glasses. Getting those metal pieces in your eyes is not cool. Especially at 200 degrees.

Here are some pics of the last bit of undercoating I did. I'm also currently working on eliminating all the egr crap and painting the intake manifolds, so I'll have pics up of that in a bit!

thanks bro! Yeah you definately need to undercoat your hatch man..It looks so good and is probably the best thing you could ever do to protect it.. I am also going to do the powdercoate the subframe and install all new bushings/spacers.
