Yeah I get wheel spin bad in the rain.
I suppose so, I'm not used to it so it scares me somewhat. But when the front end of my car started to veer into the lane next to me where another car was. I guess it's something I'll get more used to. You really don't have to be so condenscending though. JeezHussain wrote:wtf???? how do you lose control and almost crash cuz of traction off the line??? when it rained hard over here a while back, i deliberately tried to make the car loose control to have some "fun" in an empty area and couldnt do it... had complete control the whole time.... its a FWD, you're supposed to have control in the rain and even when you loose traction, the car reacts VERY predictable... i went half throttle in my brother's mustang in the rain on a turn and was sliding sideways without the RPMs even getting high.... RWD is bad for rain and snow...

Well said, well said..and yeah md sucks!jk.. *runs away*shinkirux wrote:My car hydroplanes every two miles in the rain, especially in drizzling rain. It's been raining in maryland for the past two days so the roads are wet, and the places I drive, there are potholes everywhere. Same thing happens to my car. Even if it's just a puddle of water.srwong wrote:That Sucks. My car does the same thing when im in a dip that has water in it... but i know how to control it when it happens
Get better tires. You may think you have good tires, but you really might not.Coop’sCoupe wrote:I always have to be so gentle starting off acceleration from a stop or else my front tires will spin and I start to lose control. Today I almost had an accident because of this, and almost pissed my pants. Oh and I have good tires too, so that's not the problem.
I have Nankang NS-II tires. They only have 4k miles on them.Rmuth25 wrote:What kind of tires do you have? If you have continental tires of any type that is probably why you are spinning out. I have not met a continental tire that is quality. The stock ones on the A/Cs are pitiful. My car is crippled with even 1 inch of snow on the ground. Its sad when my previous car, a 20 year old chevy corsica pos dominated the snow compared to the a/c.
Actually, that's your problem. You have a cheaply made summer tire, using it in colder weather.Coop’sCoupe wrote:

IMHO, this is not true. The conti`s that come on the VW`s, passats and other german cars are made in Germany. the conti`s made in mexico have been known to be of poorer quality.Rmuth25 wrote: If you have continental tires of any type that is probably why you are spinning out.
