hey folks...hear me out...its kinda a long story...

i was driving home from school this afternoon...noticed my water temp was quite high...i turned on the heat to the floor and it was quite hot...i left it on...as i got closer to home...i decide to visit my parents house...i turned the heat off and pushed the temp thing to cool instead of heat...

the water temp thing hit really hot as i got a block from my folks...i drive into the drive way and i notice steam coming from my hood...turned the car off right away and opened the hood...seems like some water was getting out from somewhere near the throttle body...it was steaming as hell...

it quited down in a few minutes...i noticed that there was not much water in the upper hose nore the raidator... <-- dumb idiot me...errrr i'm such a retard...i filled up the radiator and bleeded it...took about a whole gallon of the premix to fill it up...

waited a few minutes...tried to turn the car on...it seemed like it was trying to come on...it did the usuall keh-keh-keh-keh but it wouldn't turn over...i then tried to test the spark plugs...they spark just fine...then i took the intake pipe off and sprayed some starting fluid in it...i tried to start it, it did start, but after a few seconds after the startting fluid went out, it died again, so i'm assuming there is no fuel...I checked the fuel pump fuse but it was ok...got dark and i was pissed off so i decided to call it a night...

QUESTIONS:

1.) Do ya think a gasket went out somewhere or maybe a rubber pipe pooped and thats where the water came from?

2.) What else can i do to figure out this "no fuel" problem?

***I PROMISE to show you guys some good pics of the car when i get this problem fix...and trust me, it won't be your usuall "stock convertible" look...

thanks in advance...

there is a coolant passage that passes through the throttle body. One of the lines in our out of it may have sprung a leak.

Try the car in the morning and see how it starts. I'm hoping that you didn't warp the head or anything serious like that. I would check the fuel hoses though, and check your fuel pressure as well if you have a fuel pressure gauge handy.

It's possible that since you were blowing coolant near the TB that it may have caused the FPR to burn up, ultimately keeping fuel pressure too low.

hey tenkawa, thanks for replying by the way...how do i check the fuel pressure regulator? is there a way to test the fuel pump? I think i'm going to get one of those fuel pressure testers at my work place (checker auto)...

basicly what i'm asking everyone now is what steps do i take next to figure out what is wrong with my fuel system?

i am alittle on the newbie side when it comes to actually fixing cars so if you guys could somewhat step by step lead me as to where to go next...

the car still is doing the same things...

thanks in advance...

i just noticed last night that the head lights are not working but the dome light on the bottom of the rear view mirrors are on when you open the door...i also noticed that when i try to turn on the car, the check engine light and the brake light and all those other lights that are suppose to come on does not come on...

i'm figureing it may be another relay of some sort...

Anybody know what the EGI pump is? my dad says that that may be the cause...i'm thinking of bringing my buddy's 200sx over and see if we can switch some relays around...

Check the engine ground at the front of the intake manifold. just below the throttle body.
