These are my number after letting the car warm. to operating temp!Yes The throttle was open ! Yes i kept trying till the gauge wouldn't read any higher !!

Cy # 1 160Cy # 2 165CY # 3 155Cy # 4 155

Please give me info so don't go blowing money on unneeded stuff !!

Per FSM spec, your engine is fine. Its right on the limit of needing to be rebuilt though. 10 is the max difference between each cylinder's compression allowed by the FSM. 150 is the baseline, anything below that you need a rebuild. 180 is the normal comp rating on a fresh rebuild with OEM parts.

However, if you intend to boost this engine you might want to consider a rebuild. Since its right on the limit already, you wont be able to throw to much of a beating on the engine before it wears out past FSM spec.

Low compression means the moitor wasn't taken care of all that well IMO. Fuel injected motors should be able to go 150,000 miles with no compression change if the oil is changed frequentl enough and with the right type.

If the rings/cylinders are worn, so are the bearings.
