I was in a safe open parking lot with my Z during a thunderstorm. I floored first gear and cut the wheel, threw the back end out and started drifting around. I figured i'd shift second to keep it going without bouncing off rev limiter. When i shifter second the RPMS sat at 3k and the car didn't move. When I pressed down the clutch it clicked all the way down and there was no pressure then it sprung back up and it was fine again. There was this strong smell too but it didn't smell like clutch, it smelt like burnt electronics. What did i do?! I have an extra engine and trans from a 1993 so Ill swap it anyway.

Yup, clutch (and brakes) tend to smell like roasted electronics. Could be the springs on the pressure plate are getting weak causing it to slip under load. Take it on the highway, and in 4th gear stand on the throttle and see if the RPM's go up without takeoff.
*There could also be some other related issue if the pedal doesn't want to return on it's own, like the throwout arm/pivot ball or MC.

yeah my throw out bearing was making a noise and the guy at the trans place said my syncros are going too. He said it would be worse to swap the trans and clutch than it is to fix it. But i have a spare 5 speed trans and NA motor.

It could very well be your syncros thats all grinding metal you could be smelling.

but when it comes to the CLUTCH on any vehicle, when the clutch is "about" to go it will give you signs.

Serious sign: When you put it in first gear, floor it, and it takes time to catch the gear (revs).

Not-so serious: When your on the highway in a high gear, and you floor it (respectably), and it revs up without any speed progress..just sits there as if its in neutral
