My clock went out?

Hi everyone, I am having a problem with the digital clock in my pathfinder. It started acting funny, in that it stopped working for little spurts. If I tapped it, it would eventually go back on. Eventually, it went out all together and hasen't come back on since. I looked at the manual, but got no information. I checked the fuses, but they all work. Does this run on a battery or something. Anysway, if anyone knows how to get this thing working again, I would much appreciate the information.

Talk about strange.... or not.... I just got on here because mine did, too.And I can't figure it out at all- all the fuses seem fine and nothing else doesn't work.Died a few days ago, then back, then gone, then back, and now gone again.2001, as well.I tried (started) to pull the surround around the clock/vents off so I could remove the clock and see if it was the clock or perhaps a wire somewhere but was not too successful. I really did not want to break the part and it didn't seem as though it was too happy coming off- hard not to damage the trim or the dash, either, so I stopped.
