I know everybody loves pix. Just posted a few pix in the rides section. Finally got the Q clean and had to take some fast shots before the rain (figures)

My baby just turned 30,200 miles

30K miles?

We need more details!!! Year?

Gotta be the lowest-mileage 1st-gen to my knowledge if that's correct.

1991

As far as I can remember (from the vin) it was built in late 1990.

I've posted only a few times but here's the story. I bought off eBay late last year. The mileage is fully documented by the Infinity dealer and I also talked to the previous owner a little old man (80+) who only drove the car a few thousand miles a year. He traded it in on a 2004 Lexus 430. All of the recalls were done by Infinity. I had the timing guides and a transmission cooler added (by the awesome Keith Vandermeter). The H/U was replaced (Pioneer) and the speakers (Earthquake) because the bose unit was shot. Other than that it is bone stock, no leaks, drips.

The cosmetic issues are a cracked rear passenger side ashtray door, a tiny paint scratch on the front corner panel and some parking lot doinks on the rear passenger side door.

I keep debating whether I should change the springs and add some nice 17" wheels or just keep it stock.

Never in my life have I seen OEM wheels that looked so pristine. Nice ride!

VERY Nice! Somewhat rare color combination too...

How did your old guides look at only 30k? Mine were perfect with 47K, but I have heard of early failures too...

Excellent!

I would not change the springs, but other suspension stuff might need changing.

Rubber hoses and the like in the engine compartment probably need changing too, but I suspect you had those done when the guides were done ... right?

Thanks for all of the compliments. I had been looking for a Q for a while and I sometimes still can't believe my luck. The guides were in good shape but I wanted to get them taken care of right away. The hoses and belts have also been done. I used to have a long commute (100+ miles a day) and I wanted everything to be done properly. I had a Maxima before the Q and got 160,000 trouble free miles out of it with proper maintenance.
