my check engine light flashes

my rear o2 sensor is not connected. would that make it flash, im gonna get that fixed today but it runs good. its my first 240 ive been into rx7s so its a little different to me. thanks for the help

No, I don't think that the rear o2 sensor would make the check engine lite flash.

Why would you replace your 02 sensor if your not sure that's what the problem is. I suggest you read the replies I made to the post "my 95 240sx is sick" at the top of this page, because that's probably the cheapest AND least frustrating way to go.

Guessing what the problem is and replacing parts makes no sense though.I would probably get fired for that.lol

does it only happen when your driving? or does it do it all the time? I brought mine in to nissan because it was doing the same thing and It finaly pissed me off enough, well what it ended up being was it was popping the code for a leaky fuel injector which doesn't actualy tell you anything except your running to rich, now at some RPM's your air fuel ratio is a little messed up usualy around 3000 if your timmings off in either direction you would start popping a code that would turn off then come back on then off then on and so on and so on. so If thats the case just have your timing set

20 degrees Below I think is the correct amount...or is it 12 I never can remember exactly, I just use the cup of water method and it gets you with in a few degrees
