my car started overheating on a regular drive so i changed the thermostat and rad. cap thinking that would solve the problem. it drove fine for a few days then it started overheating again and started putting out white smoke. i found little black chunks in the coolant overflow catch tank. i just checked the oil 2 days after i changed it and it looks like pepsi just without the fizz. it starts and drives fine just blows white smoke. i think its the head gasket but i wanted a second opinion.

when i took the head off i realized the headgasket that was on there was fine except for the fact that there were only 4 slots for the water to circulate but on the head and block there was 16. when i bought another head gasket it was the same as the deformed one. is there something i'm missing?
