last night, i started my car and the rpms were VERY LOW and it was idling bad, so i turn it off and i try to start it again, this time, it won't start, it cranks but the engine just wouldn't start, i tried to jumpstart it with no luck, so i go to Autozone and buy a new battery, installed it, but it still wouldn't start, i know it's not the battery because all my electronics and light works fine, the car just won't start. help me please, i'm very frustrated

Check the alternator. It's free to have it tested and it sounds like that may be the culprit.

if u dont even know where the alt is, u should prolly take ur car to a shop. but either way u dont have the equipment to test it so take it somewhere and have them test it

I would probably go with quiksilvia on this one.My car had real low idle and cut off, turned out it was a tiny slit in a vacuum hose.

Is there a way to find which vacuum hose has a hole? I believe my car does it doesnt relaly affect it but near the backside of the engine I can hear a hissing noise. I dont think its the manifold either. Its jsut hard to hear anything in your engine when you dont have a muffler.

theres only 2 hoses I can think of that would cause a car not to start if it were leaking. one would be your brake booster hose and your pcv hose. the brake booster hose comes off the big black round thing behind your master cyl(brake booster) and runs across the cowl behind the engine then attaches to your intake manifold. check that hose at your manifold. the pcv hose is about the same diameter as your brake booster hose and is located under your intake manifold. behind the altenator(the thing with a steel blade fan attached to it and a drive belt right next to the steel fan to turn it) if you must resort to the blowing your hose method. when you get tired of blowing your own hose I recommend you let your girl take over she's probably better at it then you. and it makes for a good cheap thrill...lol

I would check the brake booster hose as NISTECH says mine also made a hissing noise.
