Howdy! HID's But nice car and welcome to nico, I'm new here too, but had been a member at Maxima.org for a while. I say upgrade the suspension when you change out the wheels - racingline endlinks and eibach springs. BTW, where in Houston are you located? I'm on the border of Houston and Sugarland

Haha! Cool i'm in Harris County at 290 and F.M. 1960. :] Will be moving to San Antonio soon for school though. Yeah, HIDS and Eibachs were already on my list, but i was quite unsure about the Eibachs

stillen is a good source for just about every mod offered for our coupes. also - artisan performance (artisanperformance.com) is offering a great deal (shipped) for the cat-back exhaust.

Welcome to NICO! FYI if you are going to put 17x7 rims with a 45mm offset on the coupe, they will look really small and wont cover the wheel gap.

Will they look better then the hubcaps i have on right now? What do you mean? What size tires should i be getting? I was going to go with 215/45/17, so should i go with 235/45/17? or something? Will that fit?

IMO, 45 series tires on 17s are bad advice. 215/45/17 are definitely waaaay too small. You'd need 265/45/17 or 255/45/17 to look decent, but those are too wide for 17x7s.

I'd recommend 235/50/17 which is a hair under stock diameter for the SEs (215/55/17). 225/50/17 would be my second choice, but these will make the fender gap a little larger.

So 235/50/17 would definitely fit right? And how badly would the speedometer and tire speed differentiate? Would it still be legal? O.o

Yeah they'll definitely fit - TireRack also recommends that size.

In this thread (http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread/346628) mcheddadi posted a really good link to a wheel calculator. It shows speedo differences vs. stock (if entered as the first size). 235/50/17 is very close to stock, 0.3% off or so, which wouldn't have any real effect on your speedo.

And definitely legal.

Well I usually start off with a smart *** comment when someone posts pictures of their brand new 100% stock vehicle.. but as canadian coupe pointed out to me l;ast time I did that, you're probably just really excited about having your car just like we all were when we first got ours...(thanks for that canadian coupe)

anyway, welcome 2 NICo... as Matt stated, definately go through the HOW to page in the Altima General Forums thread and use the search for information you need... there's experts here in just about every aspect of your car (turbos, electrical, audio/video, etc) so if your search doesn't return what you need, then ask away..

on a side note, I see auditious has been patrolling us a bit more lately, someone must have told the principle on us for our bad behavior.. we'll be good matt, we promise
