It should be a copper color or yellow looking flat head screw assuming its a ka24e in your 89'.
I adjusted mine to about 1.1-1.2k rpm and barely passed the smog. Mind you, that's with a new 02 sensor and simple tune up. Anything below 1k rpm will cause shaking most likely due to the fact that its an old arseee engine with old arseee engine mounts D:
errr well they are telling me if my rpm is not exactly 650-850 its an AUTOMATIC fail. i passed the entire smog check!!! except that one part! anyhow im going out (in the damn rain) to try and figure out where the iacv screw is... will update very soon!
