Yeah, you read that right :)

After a few days fighting with cam angle sensor settings and wiring issues, flooding the motor twice, shooting a few fireballs out the throttle body, running through a set of plugs, and finally realizing there was a puddle of fuel sitting in my intake manifold, I got the car started :ylsuper

It won't really idle unless I give it throttle, and it certainly won't rev up, but most importantly, the car actually runs.

I'm just relaxing for a bit now but later on this afternoon it's back to my garage with the laptop in hand to start tuning this beast.

Well, my installation was a bit different than most. AEM isn't releasing the SR20 EMS For at least another month or so. I'm running a modified Honda EMS, so my install process involved making a jumper wiring harness from the nissan harness to the honda plugs on my EMS, etc...

Overall I love the AEM in general. I've tuned a bunch of DSMs, Supras and Hondas with it in the past and it's hands down my favorite standalone ECU to work with.

Can't you wait another month or two, Mr. Impatient!! Lol, j/k. Wouldnt it of been easier to use the base map and wiring harness from AEM?

Yes it would have, but there's no way I could wait.

I installed my turbo/injectors/external wastegate and would have had no way to compensate for them :)Add to that the fact that I wasn't going to let nearly $2K worth of performance parts sit in a box waiting for AEM to release the EMS and that tells you why.

Overall it wasn't too hard, and I've been working with the guys at AEM to get it running, so I've had lots of good help :)

Nice work, are you the guy I sent my cal to?I remember when I was getting mine started last winter, I had all sorts of problems, but once you get them ironed out, it is definitely worth it.I love my EMS and have had no problems with it.Let me know how your SR knock sensor works with the EMS. Mine is basically dead, I get no reading, EVER. But when I smack the sensor witha wrench it gives me a small reading. JP suggested going to a honda knock sensor.

Why on earth would you think the PFC is better.

1 - no factory support whatsoever2 - no computer software from the factory (FC-Datalogit doesn't count)3 - need a special version (D-Jetro) just to run speed density4 - no extra inputs for EGT, wideband o2, etc.5 - no ability to adjust fuel trims based on egt, o2 feedback, etc.6 - the FC commander is uber-ghey

I can keep going on if you want

The Power FC isn't even in the same league as the AEM EMS. And you're right, the Commander is tres-ghey. Hmmmmm, full GUI windows interface, or LCD menu, in menu, in menu non-sense. I know which one I prefer.

But the EMS isn't gay-Dee-Em tyte. Oh well, I guess my 240 won't be like the Signal Auto car, or whoever else is using the PowerFC.
