my car just started knocking after about 3k rmp's all the way up but nothing before 3k. i got like 147k on my 95. Well im going to drop the pan and see what i see maybe change a bearing or 2. its not loud really but i wanna catch it before it gets 2 bad, i dont have money for a swap. can it be saved??? will just changing the bearing be ok or no???

typically...if its bottom end noise....it will be there all the time no matter what RPM its at...

you couldve spun one, its just not smoked yet...pull the pan and inspect

if it not doing it at idle...get an auto stethoscope and listen around the engine and try to find the problem that way as well....

could be something in the head or something like that
