It's possible that you have a lemon. I find it odd that you're having the same sensor die over and over. It's probably a different issue like a short circuit that's causing it to fail.

Nate, I agree!

Suby01, start by checking out the BBB for your state. They have a process and procedure you can follow. But I will guess that working it out with the dealership would be the better way to go.

That is deffinitely sounds like lemon. I would go aand sit down with the service manager this time. Also as others were saying. Look into lemon law in your state. Make your service manager aware of your next step. Hope that makes them fx it before they give you the car back.

Omegamerc has an 08 now due to lemon law. He had 07. He might chime in and give you some advises. He had lemon with rattling and all other small things. If I remember right.

Yeah and don't forget to put the oem intake back before you take it in. Just in case if they want to make a big deal out of it.

yess, put the stock back on. i did get the tests run. and it came back as po420 and po430 bank 1 bank2 catalystefficency below threshold.is that my o2 sensor in my cats. beacuse of the high flo cats?? so now they wont cover it. im guessing. i dont know what the code was for the sensor but it does act the same way when it was the camshaft sensor.

Forget the lemon law. Those codes comes on usually when your cat converter is bad. Most likely your high flo cats are the trouble makers. I am far from expert so don't take my word to seriously. Hope somebody will chime in and help you out with this. My money is on the cats tho.

I think zozo hit it on the head.

If I'm understanding the exhaust system correctly, there should be one 02 sensor before the cat and one after. The readings between to two are probably too close.

In other words "bad" exhaust is being read on before the cat and it's still "bad" after the cat.

It could be the HFC or it could be that one of the 02 sensors is misreading.

O2 simulator can help you probably. If you do a search probably you can find something about it. If you nd up buying one to my knowldge the adjustable are the one you sohuld look into. As I said I am far from expert.

thats what i thought so thats stupid!!! people have straight pipes and other things and no issues. i had the HFC for 2 months now and why is there a issue all of the sudden?? that just pisses me off. so im going to cancel the appointment that i have for service for tommarrow am. because if its not warranty issue their gonna end up charging me to tell me what i already know that my sensors are bad. does anyone think that the sensors could gotten damaged somehow. so would changing them out and see if that would work? would that be worth the trouble?

It's rarely a good idea to randomly replace sensors. I've seen guys in the maxima forum spend hundreds and never solve the problem.

It doesnt sound like the sensors have gone bad

They are just sensing that there is too much "bad" exhaust being released into the atmosphere.

Try getting the "foolers", they space the O2 sensors away from the cats a litte bit so they don't sense as much, which fools the computer into thinking that the cats work wonderfully.

yes erase and see if it comes back... sometimes it is a one time thing or bad gas or something stupid and it will never come back!

Just had that happen to my dads altima like 3 days ago! I erased the coed and he drove 600 miles since then and no CEL!
