my car just dies

i was gonna go get some new tires for drifting and when i engaged myn clutch i heard a loud "CLANK" in the transmission someware and i felt it in the clutch pedal. then the rpms dropped and the car died. when i tried to start it up agian the starter just clicked. what could this mean

Based on those descriptions it could be anything.

One scenario is that the pivot fork broke leaving the car in gear and stalling out. Then the battery did not have enough power to turn over the engine with such a high load on the starter.

I think you need to do a bit more looking at the car.

i even tried jump starting it and it did nothin how hard is it to change a pivot fork, and how would i diagnoise it
