At idle my 92 240sx with 112,000 miles has been blowing out puffs of blue smoke. I've noticed that when it does this I can see small droplets of oil on the ground from where the smoke comes out of my exhaust. I'm going to have a compression check this friday, but I wanted to know if this could be caused from bad piston rings, or valve stem seals? Is there anything I can do to temporarily stop my car from smoking, and spraying oil, such as an oil treatment by Lucas??

Check your oil levels, you may have over filled your oil a quart or more, I learned that the hard way.

I've never seen valve seals leak so badly as to cause blue smoke. Sorry to say that it's probably your rings (unless you overfilled it hard core like he said)

I'm in awe that you managed to (possibly) kill a KA at 112k miles though.
