Well, after 11 straight hours (including time to rent tools and clean-up) and countless of squads my car looks better now (IMO).

I don't want to flood the forum with pictures so you guys can view more here: http://nissaninfiniticlub.net/...=4772

I received the Tein springs set (almost 2" drop) from Kevin (FalkDesigns)since mid May but didn't have time to install it until last week. Rear replacements were a snap. Front replacements were hell. It took me more than 3/4 of the time to finish the fronts. Anyway I don't mind doing that again because I'm already know. I feel for Jay (GQ Jay) when he replaced his FGY33 inserts . The car handles better than it was when the Eibach's were on. Ride is a little bumpier at the fronts (old factory struts are getting weak too, need better machted inserts). Rear factory shocks seem working fine with the Tein's. Overall it is still comfortable.

If you like how my car looks , you should get a set of them through Kevin (FalkDesigns).

Wes, I think rear should be adjustable. For the front, I'm about to order the pillow ball upper mounts (camber plates), like this one but for the Y33:

I am curious, why it was hell to do front susp. I know (with confidence) it is possible to do inserts w/o removing strut assy from lower control arm. I am about to get ready to order inserts. All you have to do is to use a proper "strut" spring compressor. Even thouh I am not fun of lowering cars/trucks, your Y33 looks "mean".Cheers!

Thanks!Well, the fronts weren't really that hard. I was kinda exaggarated a little bit . I was able to remove the tie rod end with the remover I borrowed from AutoZone. There was not enough clearance to use the tool to remove the strut/hub assembly from the lower control arm so I used a fork tried to separate them. I damaged the ball joint rubber cover by using the fork. I realized the fork didn't get me anywhere so I left the lower control arm intact and removed them all together, like Jay did.

How does a strut spring compressor look like? My compressor kit works fine, not sure if it's a strut type though.

Thanks Evan!I'm thinking about changing the wheels to something similar to this (don't like the lettering and fake rivets though):http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...43958

Four wheel alignment specifications would be interesting.

Also how it traverses parking lot speed bumps and turns into ramped approaches to driveways, etc.

dude....that is so damn sweet looking and I love the lack of wheel gap on the fenders. Now that you all got a 4.08 mod figured out and now the dropped look I am wishing I had a FY33.

Wow you have some seriously good taste in wheels man. I like those on ebay even better. Do you have drilled rotors? I'd suggest those and maybe some z32 or even G35 coupe calipers (if applicable) to set everything off. That's one seriously hot Y33. You and Kevin would be my motivation if I was to get one. And are those 99-01 headlights?

EDIT: Just saw your cardomain page, looks like you've already got the brake work taken care of

That looks great Duy! The struts are still in the works, it just takes time (as it did with the springs!). It looks real clean and smooth now.

My alignment specs were all within factory range, although, at the extreme end of the negative camber side. For myself, I've never bothered with camber correction on any of the cars I've owned. I don't mind the extra tire wear in trade for better handling.

Rex, it's got to be his driveway making the rear look lower because the front should sit about .25" lower than the rear, and it's not possible to put the springs on the wrong side.

I am picking up 3 more sets tonight, 2 are paid for, but I ordered an extra set this time, so I have 1 set available, [email protected] for details if anyones interested.

Gorgeous, Duy!

Good to finally see the 2nd-gen getting some mods... That car looks fantastic with a drop and some wheels / tires!

Brian, I don't have the new alignment spec with the Tein's yet. Alignment specs with the Eibach's were well within factory numbers with one exception: front left caster. I didn't know the upper spring seat for the front left side was really bad until last week. Alignment specs I got from PepBoys:

Rex, the driveway was sloppy so it made the rear lower than the front. On a level surface, the front is slightly lower, like Kevin said.

Michael, it only costed me what I paid for the springs. Labor was mine. You should contact Kevin (FalkDesigns) for current pricing. The ride is still comfortable, it won't be rough like a truck or SUV.

Evan, yes, the headlights were from a 2001 Touring. Thanks for mention the G35 calipers. If the Brembo fits, that'd be golden.

DBM, I forgot :O I'll ask tonight when I pick up the other sets.

Q_Ship, email for pricing, [email protected] . They'll work with your stock shocks, but I don't know how well, but I'd imagine it would be fine, especially since you can set it on firm.
