It's a little more stiff but liveable. My nerves are shot worrying about bottoming out. I had the car downtown milwaukee and that had me nervous but I got through it.

The install took me about 3 hours with no lift just using jackstands.

Thanks Kevin!! The spacers really helped the look of the car too.

I would have to rate your Q one of the nicest I've seen thus far.

Very good job.

By far the best mod you can do for the Y33 is the lowering springs.

Thank you.

If you like mine, get a peak at Kevins (FalkDesigns) car.

There are a lot of very sharp Q's on this board so I take that as a huge compliment.

Looks much better than before!!!

I've never understood why Infiniti designed the Y33 and F50 with so much tire / fender gap

I'm in the process of locating some springs to "fix" the look of my F50...

Very nice. I've had my car lowered with TEIN springs for about half year now and driven about 15K miles so far including a trip to florida from dc with a full load all on factory struts, still no problems. I'm planning on switching to coilovers within the next month just to go a little lower, but definetely the 2" drop is nice and very daily driveable. As far as bottoming out, I've never had that problem except for tall speedbumps, and I drive on the crappy DC city streets all the time. If anything, I'm more worried about potholes that would bend a wheel.

Great looking Y33! I see that you installed the Wald kit. Where did you have that done?

I'm also in the DC area and have been looking for a good shop to perform this type of work.

Thanks in advance...

VERY nice look! Those wheels are SO similar to mine . I agree..a nice 20% tint would be killer. Really makes mine look dated.

Looks great. I love the long-nose look of the Y33. Reminds me of my favorite muscle sedans of the 60s.

Q_Ship it looks a hell of a lot better with it lowered. Now I'm growing really anxious to get my TEIN springs from Falk.

Dorimon, I wrote you awhile back on cardomain.com, I was also looking for a decent shop in the DC area to get my springs put on

I installed the kit myself, took a little bit of time because there was some cutting involved because the front lip doesn't perfectly fit the US bumper, the sides need drilling, and the rear bumper needs to be placed perfectly to get it to wrap around to the wheels because it was a tight fit. If you don't feel comfortable doing it, my cousin's shop VIPGarage in Sterling, VA can do it for you. I'll pm you the info.

Yea, I got my springs from Falk too, good guy, good communication. Install took me about 4 hours due to realizing a lot of the front suspension parts need to come off to get the front struts off. If you need to get them installed, VIPGarage in Sterling, VA can do it. I'll pm you the info.

It looks great Q_ship! The wheel spacers make a huge difference too don't they? Glad it worked out so well, and I hope that everyone else can get theirs soon too!

4 hours for the front and back? Damn, when I went to get my struts put on at the Infiniti dealership they told me it was a five hour job But luckily I ran into a mechanic who told me to bring it after work and he did it for 200. Do you know off hand how much your cousins shop will charge for the springs

Hmm, you might be better off going with that $200 deal, my cousin's shop charges $80 an hour, and that's about 4-5 hours.

It looks really nice man. Aren't you glad you got the wheel spacers? Imagine it without them, major tuck-age, and now you've got them, you can see for yourself just how beefy they are. How do you like the ride quality?

Sorry kevin, I made a job change. I don't get on the net much anymore.

Anyways, The spacers are a must. The sucked in look really blows. Ride quality is tight but I'm learning to like it. You really learn to avoid manhole covers LOL.

Yes and no. I'd say a trans upgrade is the best thing you can do to correct the sluggish shifts/short lifespan.

I personally had a lowered car before (99 Maxima w/ 1.5" drop) and I wouldn't do it again, unless it was a high quality spring/strut combo that was fully adjustable (ride height & strut firmness). I got the Q45 for a reason, for a nice ride. And I don't have to worry about bottoming out on steep driveways anymore.

It's all about opinions. Thats just mine.

Looks really cool, I have the Teins waiting to go on later this month combined with SR Special KYBs, cannot wait to get that all put together!! Spacers with M45 19" rims will have to wait as MSFT stock tanked and I cannot raise the extra 1500 needed for that upgrade right now.

Awesome look, one of the nicest Y33's I've seen, should make some of the 1st gen boys a bit jealous!!
