My car has been leaking gas for a couple a weeks now. It started leaking after i lowered the rear driverside really low and i left the rear passanger side same height(way higher than driver side../started to rain, long story). Didnt drive it for a couple of weeks, raised it back up to even it out and thats when the leakage started. Ive been inspecting the gastank from underneath and it seems to be ok, no cracks . After doing some research ive come to think that it is the a hose that goes to the driver side, pictured below.

But I could be wrong, any of you guys have any idea of what it can be? I just dont want to end up paying 400 for a gas tank :ohno:
thanks in advanced, heres a pic of my car just bc

and a pic of where the gas drips off of, same position as above.

I went through the same thing last year. Was about to leave for a trip, came out to a huge puddle under the car. If it IS that hose, unfortunately it's not possible to get to it without dropping the tank(as far as I know). When mine was leaking, I couldn't see a crack. I pulled the tank out and the crack was right under where the metal strap that holds it in goes. I tried having it welded back, and it held for about a day at which point I sucked it up and bought a new tank. Whatever the case, it won't be fun. Good luck!

Ive been reading and the only option is to drop the gastank. It is going to be a b**** bc the subframe has to be dropped too. Thanks though.

In all honesty, it wasn't as much of a pain as I was expecting, especially if you have an impact wrench. My car was down for over a week only because I wasted about 4 days to see if welding it back up would work. Drove a couple of hours the next day to pick up the new tank and had it back together that afternoon.

If there was anything you were planning to do to the rear end, whether it's installing an lsd or changing out all of the bushings, now is the time to do it.

It is for this reason that I dislike S14's now & will soon be getting rid of mine. Currently having fuel leak issues for the 2nd time after already replacing the tank a year and a half ago. It's actually quite common for the S14, I hear.

Only S13's for me from now on...

Dropping the tank isn't bad. open gas cap, remove gasket, put a piece of plywood on a jack, jack it up til it is supported, undo the fuel pump plug, undo the straps and lower it, fix what you need to, look for cracks everywhere, if it cracked then you need another, if it the line just replace it and jack it back up ,watch out for fuel pump plug and install the straps and gasket, put gas cap back.

Cuz they betta. Also make sure your fuel line doesnt just get eaten by ethenol, the cause of many problems, mainly the water content it has. Forgot which type of line you need but it can't just be rubber or what ever.

You have to drop the entire subframe first

Really? That sucks.

Sooo jack up rear frame rails, unbolt DS and unbolt sub frame, jack up car, roll it out, set car on stands first and then do everything else.

This is where the gas is leaking, not the hose but the white part.
