My car idles like hammered dung.

If you don't know my car has been turbo-ed for over 8 months now, and for the most part has run like a champ, until today. It's not so much a running problem because it does ok while driving and boosting. My problem started today after some spirited driving. At idle I usually pull about 21-22vac, but now it fluctuates from 7-3ish. My wideband usually show 14.7 at idle, but now reads lean. I can hear a nasty hiss coming from the back of the intake manifold, i'm scared to look back there because it might be a rattlesnake praying on me. I did a compression test and it came out perfect, my plugs looked well too. Oil isn't funked up looking or anything and my radiator fluid looks good. Could someone please help me.

what is your setup?

it sounds like you blew a intercooler pipe off or a vacuum line. if it drives fine and reads perfect AFR then i would try to use a SAFC ( if you have ) and richen the thing at idle to see if the idle smooths out.

it sounds like a simple problem but the fact that it drives fine and that its lean at idle instead of being rich all the time makes it weird. but yeah just try looking for a leak.

I found my problem. It was a pcv line that had blown off.

hahah that must've been pretty easy to find. when you say pcv line, do you mean the PCV line underneth the intake manifold or is it the breather on the valve cover?

wow how did you blow that one off? well atleast you got your car running, and i know what to look for if that happens to me.
