ok i am a newb to this i have a 1990 nissan 240sx with a ka24e (sohc i believe) . i purchased the car knowing that it had issues but i figured it wouldnt be this hard .

my problems consist of a code i can not find which is a 23 and a code 45 which is a leaky inj. thos eare the codes i get when i check the ecu.

i replaced the maf sensor and the inj seals to finally get it to run a lil better but still not up to snuff and is still smelling like it is running rich........ i adjusted the iacv and the distrbutor to get it to run around 900-1000 but it is still has smoke plumen out the back end and i tried to drive it today and had no throttle response can you help

FYI the SOHC does not have a knock sensor. Sounds crazy but true.

I KNOW EXACTLY WHATS WRONG!!!!

when your turn the screw, it will flash a one, that is the MODE. there are 5 modes(1,2,3,4,5) when your in the right mode(correct number of flashes) you turn the screw back counter clock wise. in your case, your trying to use the Self diagnostics mode, mode 3. so, turn key on, turn the screw clockwise. when the light flashes 3 times, turn it fully counter clockwise, your now IN mode 3."NOTE- red led is the tens place, green is the ones place."try this asap ang get back. to you and anyone reading this, this is an example of why i cant stress enough to READ the FSM! dont just glance over it, read it and make sure you understand it exactly.
