Hope you guys/gals have some reading time. Well today I was coming home from school/work. I was going Noth on a street and some old crappy van was going South. The stupid driver changed his mind on the last second and moved into the left turn lane. He crossed the double solid yellow lines and hit the drivers side rear fender of my car. he made a left turn on the light and I heard the van flooring it. I busted a BIATCH to begin the chase. I got the Red light... I move foward and see that there are no cars coming from East or West so I turn and run the red light. About half a mile up the road I see that the van T-Boned a car that was crossing from one street to another. When I get there nobody was in the van. I asked witnesses who te owner of the van was and they said, " two black guys got out the van holding guns and they ran into the residential neighborhood. Cops got there and I come to find out that the van was carjacked from a lady 8 miles away and the dudes robbed a restaurant. Just leave because I was tired from a long day of school and work. I report it to my insurance as a hit and run. Lucky me that my friend owns a body shop that deals with insurance companies so my car will be taken to him next week. The bad news is that it is going to take 3 weeks for the car to be fixed. The good news is that I can still take "Samantha" to Autobacs this sunday...YAY for me. Then I will have to drive my 05 Frontier and 98 Jetta VR6 Turbo for 3 weeks.

Yeah, good thing they dipped. You dont wanna deal with dudes with guns, especially if they just robbed a place.

Get that thing fixed and get back on the road!

Time to go Dog the bounty hunter on their asses. I am soooo sorry to hear about your bad luck, but everything happens for a reason, you will probably get something good out of the deal, at the very least a lesson in acceptance and patience.

Well if you do want to get em though, hit me up. Got the rotty, the shotty, and a place to rot bodies.

Thanks for the comfort Guys and Gal. I do have collision coverage on my insurance so it will be taken care of. My friend told me that this kind of damage can take between 3-4 months to repair at a body shop, but since we are good friends he is going to put all his guys on it from the time the whole quarter panel gets in till the end. Man it's great to have connections...LOL Well once again the good part is that I can still take Samantha to Autobacs this sunday.

damn that sucks man. but at least your not hurt and the insurance is taking care of it.

as for infantry, i thought california law says you must have your gun locked in a compartment and your ammunition in a separate locked compartment? unless you own a business in which you will be carrying large amounts of money and can get a special permit.

It was a few blocks east of Sepulveda and Overland near the Westside Pavillion mall/shopping center.

I carry one when I transport CMS (top secret) info around places. I also have a special permit card and I legally don't have to stop for police for any reason while I'm transporting this

so why arnt you always transporting top secret info. Just buy a brown envelope, stamp it with top secret, throw some maps and old reports in it, and u just got a concealed weapons permit. lol Wouldnt really work for running from the cops, because they will just follow you and if you dont have orders, you are screwed.

I think the first thing i saw in that post was "guns"...

That's when you find a nice little hill/cliff and their a**es...

Haha, just kidding. That looks like a horrible gash on your car - be happy that you didn't catch up to them because you might have been making this post from your hospital room bed...

Good luck with the repairs!

Here on LI its not really that difficult to get a carry permit. In NYC you need to give your first born.

I wouldnt ever carry a gun in my car since I know I would use it (bad temper/road rage)

I must say I'm a bit preturbed by some of the statements I'm reading on here... since when has a hit and run necessitated murder? That's not particularly funny, joking about shooting someone over a material posession is not funny at all. Shooting someone out of fear of your life is one thing, and if YOU went chasing them, that may have been a sitution you found yourself in, but for someone scraping your car? And the racist tone of some of these statements is also of concern to me.

people committ crimes, and should be punished for them, but some of these comments are a bit uncalled for.

And to the individual that made the dog the bounty hunter comment, explain yourself a little more. Dog is a racist SOB that finds parole jumpers, not quite sure how that fits into this scenario.

Most of you should really monitor what you post on online forums... you guys are talking like its the wild wild west and you can just go shoot someone cause they ofended you. This e-thug business gets a bit ridiculous sometimes... again, I'm just a bit disappointed at some of these comments...

I feel you Rob. Lets keep it clean guys. I was almost KILLED by as asian 19yr old kid back in 2006 when I was working on the freeway at 2 am. At the time I was 19 as well, but even after all my suffer and months in the hospital I had no hae for the guy that hit me or asain people in general. S**t happens in life and if you have a bad temper about it then you will have a harder time living through your life. Like Rob said our cars are just material possessions that can be fixed and replaced. I really can't stand people who are racist and as a family forum I would have to say that it is not right. Thank you guys for hearing me out.

I am defenetly sorry about bringing up the hole gun carrying thing. I feal like I started something that shouldnt of been started. I myself would not shoot someone for hitting my car. I was refering to them running out of the car with there guns. If I feal my life is in danger I will pull the trigger. But no one should want to kill because of a little ding in there car. If you are not trained to handle a fire arm. You defenetly should not carry one.

So lets drop it and just be glad Mr. Coupe is ok.
