I have a nissan rough 2012. Since one month some time my car does not respond the gas after stopping some times. but when i press again and again for some times it jumps and after that it goes thoroughly. It does not happen all the time but when it happen it is not sure. More ever i saw that it might be the problem of brake switch. I changed the brake switch today but the problem is not solved. Some time the brake lights do not turn off although i turn the engine and head light off. this problem still appear after changing the switch. If any body have the idea about the problem. can you share please.

If you have the brake switch taken care of and you’re sure of that. Then what you’re describing sounds a lot like the accelerator pedal has gone bad. Has the pedal gotten wet or has any other unusual thing happened to it? Maybe someone removed it for some reason?

This is what I’m talking about. This is just an internet guess based on reading your post.

New vehicles are almost all drive by wire, there are no more cables connecting the gas pedal with the carburetor. No more carburetors either come to think of it.

You could remove the pedal clean it and make sure that the electrical connections are good and tight. Maybe use some electrical spray on those, and see if that helps. Check the pedal for any obvious breakage or damage before spending $200 on a new pedal.
