I have a 1990 s13, and today I whent to start it and it wouldn't start. I didn't think it wa the battey because yesterday it worked fine and I didn't leave any lights on or doors open. But I jump started it anyway, it had a hard time starting. Then I disconected the jumper cables, after it was started, the it died again... so the car wont stay on unless I hold the gas pedal to keep the rpms up... im gunna try to replace the battery but im not completely sure its the battery. If anyone knows if its not the batter I would appreciate it if you told me so I could maybe save $100 or so... thanks in advance...

Your alternator has probably died and the battery may be dead because it hasnt' been charged. Go get your alternator checked at your local pep-boys/autozone/kragen.

I am not to sure man but I did some work on my car and this happened to me as well. I found it to be a lose grounding cable but it dosen't sound like that is your issue. I would start by looking at your power source and grounding system.

Dose it make any sounds or anything other then normal?

Yeah, if I remember right, couse it was a few hours ago, it was making a weird noise like someting was rubbing... maybe like the belt was slipping on the alternator pully? Idk I just thought of that... haha

That sounds like your alternator is bad man, I would get that looked at bro let me know what you find out it to be.
