Well it idles at least...

I put a ca18det in my 1988 s12 aka 200sx.

Alright, I just finished up all the wiring, relays, etc. And it starts. Runs like a pig though, i think it has something to do with the vaccum hoses or whatever next to the intake mani:

Almost done, just gota add my bov, and put on the shroud or electric fan.

When i drove it... it had NO HIGH END POWER AT ALL. it sputters after like 3k rpm... i never got to really spool the turbo yet... anyone know the cause?

congrats on your ca, its nice to see some s12 love. As for those lines it depends on what and if you still have the lines hooked up on the other side of those pipes. I just T-ed my fpr, butterflies, and the vaccum line on the back of the intake plenum together and didn't used those pipes below the manifold.

You can take off those 4 little metal vacuum bends. They're just kind of like extensions. There's a vacuum diagram in the stickies, and make sure to cap off the vacuum port right underneath the throttle body.

as anumeric said.. they dont NEED to be plugged if you didnt use them... They are extensions from your other vac lines behind the motor, so id anything is hooked into the back of them, then plug them.

wait a minute guys these lines normal feed important equipment like the fuel pressure regulator/ turbo acutator/ 8port butterfly low speed solenoid and the other is a vacuvm feed line to run these 3 systems. I foyu want to plug ovr dissconnect these lines you still need to get these systems working again.

Those metal lines do nothing if you have you vac set-up like this.

the only flaw in that vaccum diagram is that it will keep the butterfly valves open almost 100% of the time.

The problem with that diagram is that when you step on the throttle, there is no vac to keep them shut and they start opening.

Is it bad to have the vac lines set up like the diagram.....IF it keeps the buterflys open 100% of the time?Advantages? Disadvantages?

No, it's not bad to have them setup that way, that's why we posted it in the stickies. It just basically renders the butterfly's useless under load. They are still closed under part throttle and help with fuel economy.
